The two rings
A year and a quarter has passed since she was stirring coffee and I sat not knowing what was coming next but last one year has been tremendous. Passing through few initial hurdles we went well with each other. Mostly talking on phone and on video calls sometimes, we met only once after the fateful first meeting. It was a slow mould, knowing each other, liking each other and then falling in love. Now that cupid had done his part of the job, a date was set for the sliding of the two rings. These were not just rings, These were – “The Rings” . These are unbroken circle which signifies the continuum of love and commitment of the togetherness we share. I was surprised to know that what we did by exchanging the rings was tradition that dates back to 5000 years, which started with two Egyptian souls trying to cast their love to a physical object which will always be with their soulmates.
The date was 16th of June ’19 when we exchanged our symbol of love, togetherness and happiness. Two souls paired together for life, journey of a lifetime has begun, we will learn as we go along, rules will be made and broken, promises made at times kept, at times made best efforts to. But as we grow old we will learn to love each other more both the good and the evil sides 🙂 …
